Tek-Dek – Teak Effect PVC Decking. “The look of teak with the benefits of modern technology”     

 

 

 

Maintaining the look but unlike real teak decking, Tek-Dek composite decking comes in the form of plastic panels which are easy to clean, stain resistant and practically maintenance free. It can be applied to practically any surface including GRP, steel and timber which gives you the flexibility of where you wish to lay it. Many customers now have Tek-Dek laid in numerous internal areas including bathrooms and kitchens due to it’s non-slip qualities and the fact it looks like real wood. It is also now a popular alternative surface for balconies, caravan verandas and steps as well as Marina pontoons and Jetties.

The decking has a dovetail groove underneath which means the adhesive gets into the grooves and provides a mechanical bond. Tek-Dek is designed to last and is the most appropriate surface for boating conditions. Colour fast pigmenting and in-built ‘graining’ are totally convincing. Combine this with the fact each strip actually includes its own dark ‘caulking’ edge and the end result will look like something laid by a traditional craftsman.

The panels are fully UV stabilised and non-slip even in running salt water making it ideal for bathing platforms and steps. Tek-Dek requires no further oiling, varnishing, sanding or scraping and is very easy to clean using a pressure washer if desired. Tek-Dek panels are often used to brighten or cover up existing faded wood teak or a slightly damaged boat deck to bring the boat back to life.

Using CNC cutting equipment you can even have your logo’s and boat names cut into your deck for a completely custom look.
